Franklin Village

Franklin Village in the Hollywood foothills extends east to west along Franklin Avenue between Foothill Drive and Hollywood Blvd. with neighborhoods Beachwood Canyon to the west and Los Feliz to the east. Franklin Village is one of the newer recognized off beat artistic neighborhoods in the Hollywood Hills and has been commonly referred to as the “New Hills”. This hip community is rich in Los Angeles real estate history that can be seen in the early 1920’s architecture such as the Hollywood Tower apartment buildings and the rows of craftsman homes that line its streets. The neighborhood’s residents and Hollywood Hills alumni range from successful societal commentator Joel Stein, reality TV house flipper Jeff Lewis, fashion designer L’Wren Scott and even world famous celebrity couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Without leaving the neighborhood or traveling more than two miles you can walk to dinner, drinks, the coffee shop, attend a play, visit the local bookstore, hair salon, grocery store and even stroll to the Hollywood Sign. The eclectic cluster of neighborhood shops and restaurants provides Franklin Village locals with a true community vibe and proves you don’t always need a car in LA.
