The Cahuenga Pass connects Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley via the Hollywood 101 Freeway and Cahuenga Boulevard East and West on either side of the freeway. It is the lowest pass through the mountains and its location offers several easy access cut through routes that beat the heavy traffic to almost anywhere in the city and Valley areas. This Hollywood Hills homes neighborhood borders several different areas including Studio City, Hollywood, Lake Hollywood, Toluca Lake and Universal City. Universal Studios and Universal City Walk are the major tourist attractions in the Cahuenga Pass which has drawn a cluster of high rise hotels and the red line transit subway. Universal NBC is currently in talks with the city to approve a multi-billion dollar controversial development plan on over 400 acres of land in the Lake Hollywood area.
