Homes for Sale in Beverly Hills Post Office

Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills Post Office (BHPO) is the residential hillside community in Los Angeles that lies just north of Beverly Hills houses in the 90210 zip code and south of the Sherman Oaks area in the San Fernando Valley. The Beverly Hills Post Office boundaries are north of Sunset Boulevard, South of Mulholland Drive, East of Beverly Glen and West of Coldwater Canyon comprising of the hill areas in Coldwater Canyon, Deep Canyon and Franklin Canyon. When Beverly Hills real estate was incorporated in 1914, the northern border was roughly a mile north of Sunset Blvd. with the exception of Trousdale Estates. The remaining section stretching north to Mulholland Drive was left as part of the hills of Los Angeles homes. Starting in 1963 mailing addresses in the Beverly Hills Post Office were written as “Beverly Hills, CA 90210″, though the Beverly Hills houses themselves lie outside of the Beverly Hills city limits and receive Los Angeles public services. Hence, the name (BHPO), Beverly Hills with Post Office placed at the end. Most of the luxury gated communities Los Angeles are in BHPO including The Summit, famous for having residents like Britney Spears, Hillary Duff, Ed McMahon, & Gwen Stefani; Mulholland Estates; Beverly Ridge Estates; Bowmont Estates; and one of the most expensive and famous gated communities Los Angeles in USA, Beverly Park. Besides the large Los Angeles luxury homes in the gated communities, the homes for sale in BHPO are, on average, between $2 and $4 million with a variety of home styles ranging from small traditional homes to mid-century to new construction Mediterranean. Along with the home styles, the infrastructure and views can greatly vary from street to street. There are two large state parks in the BHPO canyons called Tree People Park (aka Coldwater Canyon Park) and Franklin Canyon Park that offer many activities for locals to enjoy such as weekend concerts throughout the summer season, moonlight or dusk neighborhood group walks, nature photography, and campfire events. With fabulous vistas at every turn and proximity to both Beverly Hills and the Valley communities of Studio City and Sherman Oaks, BHPO residents enjoy the best of both worlds!
